Hi. I'm moving to Tokyo June 9th. My apartment will be in Akabane, Tokyo Prefecture. If anyone has any information about this neighborhood it would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I've heard it's hot in June--and muggy. How hot and how muggy? Is it as bad as New Orleans or New York in the summer?

Tue, March 29, 2005 - 8:55 PMAkabane is barely Tokyo.. right on the border of Saitama. Not too much going on unless you enjoy local red-light districts.
As for summer, yes, hot, muggy, like new orleans I guess.. Then again, I'm from Michigan so 60F feels hot to me.

It sucks to be a salaryman in summer.
