Hi,
I'm new here. I'll be staying in Tokyo around new years and I'm having a really really hard time trying to find a place to stay. Every time I find something without a cerfew that's under $220 a night it's all booked up. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them. I don't want to be sleeping out on the street. Thanks.

Re: Hotels around New Years??
Sat, July 16, 2005 - 5:21 AMHey there. New Years might be a difficult time to find accomodation, but it probably depends on what kind of place you are looking for. Are you looking for a nice hotel? You may want to try "Gaijin Houses" for temporary stay, which are like dormitories, and are quite cheap. If you don't mind shelling out a bit, you may find a hotel. What's your budget like - under 220 USD? You can most probably find something for that price, depending on the area. Do you know where you want to visit/stay in Tokyo?
hey, there probably are some raves during that time. You may want to camp at a rave? ;) -

Sun, July 31, 2005 - 7:10 PMHi June,
actually, this post was posted last year when I was going to Tokyo. We had a great time and found a western style hotel that was not too expensive. Japan was so cold (and snowing in tokyo) when we were there. Koyasan was freeeezing. I can't imagine camping durring that time. Have you done that? Is this in a warmer area of Japan? Let me know if you want to see some photos of our trip. I don't really want to post them here though. -
